Because you didn't want to read about Petropolous in the Claremont Independent for the third time. I know about this story a few days ago, but alas, exams and papers come first, so I've been more than a bit negligent. My apologies and I promise that I shall write more when the exams end.
In any event, The Claremont Insider has noticed that the very painting in question was at an exhibition in 1984.
Given that Petropoulos is such a sleuth of finding these things, one wonders why he never came upon it.
Could it be that a blogger can do just as good research?
Maybe Ms. Fischer should have given The Insider the commission instead. I'm sure he would have done it for a lot less money than Petropoulos was asking. To be fair, The Insider's expenses were smaller. He didn't even have to go to Europe.
