Sushi! Coming to a Collins' tray near you!
Kevin Callahan, the dining hall manager, told me today that Collins will be serving sushi and steak next semester. They are going head to head with Scripps by offering sushi Friday night and steak Saturday night next semester in what may be known as the "War of the Dining Halls." I'm with Collins in this fight, but it's a tough call, given that they've allied themselves with Pepsi.
As many of you know, I'm a sorta kinda vegetarian and so I shall not be eating the steak. But as for the sushi, well, I've never met a critter in the sea that didn't deserve being eaten.
(Yes, that includes whales, which I have not as yet tasted,. but am told are the "cows of the sea.")
Kevin, you, sir, are the Man!
Question to the powers-that-be: Is there any way we can get Kevin an honorary degree?
I'm also told that sushi gets more frequent flyer miles than I do and therefore cause global warming. As if I needed another reason to eat sushi. . . We sure could use some global warming where I'm from. Just look at the photos from the great Boston Blizzard of '78.

just out of curiosity, why are you a veggie?
Anonymous,
Simple answer: I don't really like the taste of land animals.
More complex answer: I don't believe in doing violence unless you have to. It has a large part to do with my belief that if there were a higher order of species on this planet, I wouldn't really want to be eaten.
That said, when I have kids, I'll probably switch back.
Vegetarian: Indian word for bad hunter.
Haha thank God! An upside to Collins next year! =P
