USA Today has a story where they discuss the expansion of college student bodies.
Pomona's Bruce Poch informs us that they are "literally one student over our original plan."
But at Claremont McKenna, there's another story at work. A friend pointed out that the total number of mailboxes in Story House approaches that magic number of 1400. Despite rumors that admissions would take only 40, then 50, Claremont McKenna has taken 60 new transfer students.
Last year, Dean Hess said that we all need to be able to eat together. Anyone who has sat in Collins lately knows that we may all fit, but the fit is sure tight.
