Taryn Benarroch, CMC '05, delivers a speech to the Claremont Democrats.
From The Orlando Sentinel
The Barack Obama campaign announced it is fleshing out its Orlando/Central Florida office with new top staff (though one of those listed, press secretary Laura McGinnis, has been here for a few weeks.) Here's the campaign's bios of the group:
Taryn Benarroch; [Editor's note; CMC '2005] Deputy Field Director- Benarroch got her first taste of politics working for Rep. Adam Schiff’s 2000 campaign, which remains the most expensive U.S. House race. A graduate of Claremont McKenna College, Benarroch taught special education students in the South Bronx as a member of Teach for America before joining the Obama campaign in July 2007. She has worked for Sen. Obama in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Oregon.
Obama only won Oregon in the primary. So here's to hoping she'll fail in Florida as well! As Rove pointed out tonight, the Democrats will heavily outspend the Republicans in Florida even though their polls won't change in the slightest.
Bread and circus, friends. Bread and circus.
