Correction on Dreier and the Claremont Republicans

I don't usually do this, but there's a first time for everything.

First off, I'd like to apologize to the Claremont Republicans, for whom I have the greatest respect, if my post yesterday on Dreier was taken poorly, I apologize.

I don't usually apologize, and I've made clear to one of their members that I won't be taking down the post. (Aditya and I have a strict policy of letting all posts stay up so, but then writing retractions if necessary.)

Here are the following problems with the article from the Contra Costa Times.

1) There is no such organization as the RCCC and their spokesman has no authority to speak on behalf of the Republican party in federal elections.

2) Dreier's race remains extremely competitive and the DCCC has listed Warner-Dreier's race as one of those "Races to Watch." Warner's campaign spending is reportedly quite high.

Insomuch as I am a John Lerew fan, I have to admit, he has two thousand dollars cash on hand and as of the second quarter he has only two contributors, excluding his wife and himself.

It's not looking good for Lerew or Dreier, so we should campaign where we can, as hard as we can.
